Judge Christopher F. Droney, a former Notes and Comments Editor of the Connecticut Law Review, was nominated by President Obama for a seat on the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
On November 28, 2011, the United States Senate unanimously approved the appointment of Judge Droney to the Second Circuit. Droney previously served as a United States District Judge for Connecticut.
When Judge Droney was a member of the Connecticut Law Review he published a student Note in Volume 10, Issue 1. The Note was entitled: “The Briefcase Caper, Standing and Due Process Exclusion: United States v. Payner, 434 F. Supp. 113 (N.D. Ohio 1977).”
